Dear Readers,

Our apologies for a Thursday full of technical glitches. First, the site was up. Then, the site was up, but ugly and mushed as a pug dog’s mug. Then, the site was down, way down. Then, it was sort of up, the way Congress is sort of useful. Now we’re back, after 20 hours of putting the Humpty that is Progressive Wednesday back together again. (Believe it or not, all the king’s horses actually came in handy, but man, they leave a stinky trail.)

Thanks for hanging on with us. We’d have you send letters of complaint to our web-hosting provider, but we’re afraid they’d all but shut us down again.
