Genocide in Darfur: Sign

One of the quickest things you can do to make a difference is to sign petitions, especially online. Unlike media coverage, there doesn’t seem to be any shortage of online petitions asking for action in Darfur.
- This one calls for action from the United Nations to stop the government of Sudan from killing civilians in Darfur, using UN peacekeepers, if necessary. It has over 4,400 signatures.
- This petition calls on many organizations and governments to increase humanitarian aid to and civilian protection of Darfur, as well as the release of all political detainees by the Sudanese government. Join the 660 other signers.
- Over 4,100 people have signed this one, which specifically calls for UN peacekeepers to be put in the region.
- This is a petition urges the co-sponsorship and support a bill allowing states to divest money from companies that are doing business with the government of Sudan. In other words, let’s let our states stop funding genocide.
It only takes a minute to sign these petitions. You can do them during a single commercial break. It’s a pretty small investment of time to help save a half a million lives.
