LET’S GO, BUFFALO!
April 7th, 2007 by Eric
Just a quick shout out to the Buffalo Sabres hockey team, who won the President’s Trophy for the best record in the National Hockey League during the regular season. They did it with a 2-0 shutout over the Washington Capitals Saturday afternoon. Their 111 out of a possible 164 points guarantees them the best record in the NHL, the franchise’s best record ever, and home ice advantage throughout the playoffs.
Sports frequently get a bad rap; it seems like there are more mugshot photos in the media than highlights of a great play or a charity event. But this team has been rated number one by ESPN.com in terms of giving back to their fans, as well as involvement in the community. Heck, they’re even owned by former progressive independent gubernatorial candidate B. Tom Golisano. So let’s celebrate this incredible feat and the extensive contributions the team has made to the community.
Let’s get it started. LET’S GO, BUFFALO. Clap… clap… clap, clap, clap. LET’S GO, BUFFALO. Clap… clap… clap, clap, clap. LET’S GO, BUFFALO. Clap… clap… clap, clap, clap…
